The five bike ride events listed on this page are the The CycleFest Century held in West Palm Beach, America's Most Beautiful Bike ride at Lake Tahoe and El Tour de Tuscon in Arizona. There is also the Climb To Kaiser Challenge in California and Tour de Mule Shoe held in Texas. These events are riding events, not races.

  • AMERICA'S MOST BEAUTIFUL BIKE RIDE
    Location: Lake Tahoe, NV
    Date: June 6, 2004 - Sunday

    Event Description: One of the most scenic and awe-inspiring rides you will ever experience. The spectacular scenery, clean, fresh mountain air, great food and full support by experienced ride organizers makes this ride a "must-do" for any avid recreational cyclist. The course circumnavigates the highways clockwise around Lake Tahoe and includes two challenging climbs.


  • OKLAHOMA FREE WHEEL FreeWheel 2004
    Sunday - Saturday, June 13th - 19th
    Day One: Duncan to Apache, OK. 51 miles
    Day Two: Apache to Cordell, OK. 68 miles
    Day Three: Cordell to Cheyenne, OK. 66 miles
    Day Four: Cheyenne to Thomas, OK. 64 miles
    Day Five: Thomas to Fairview, OK. 53 miles
    Day Six: Fairview to Cherokee, OK. 51 or 100 miles
    Day Seven: Henderson - Cherokee to Anthony, KS. 53 miles

    The Oklahoma FreeWheel is an annual week-long cross-state bicycle ride occuring in early June.

    Around 1000 riders attend each year. They stay overnight in small communities and ride an average of 60 miles each day.

    FreeWheel started in 1979.


  • 10th Annual TOUR de MULE SHOE

    The Tenth Annual Heritage Foundation Tour de Muleshoe rolls along scenic farmland and sandhills for you to ride either fast or slow as you choose. This is not a race-- enjoy yourself. Each entry will receive a ticket to our Spaghetti Dinner, 11:30 am to 2:00 pm Saturday.
    All three rides start at the Bailey County Coliseum, Muleshoe, Texas, at 9:00 a.m. and follow a triangle course: the 10 mile is flat with good shoulders, one rest stop at halfway; the 40 mile begins with small rolling hills for the first 10 miles, followed by 12 miles of scenic sandhills, ending in 18 miles of small smooth ups and downs; the 100k follows similar road conditions for longer distances, all end back in Muleshoe at the starting line.


  • CLIMB TO KAISER CHALLENGE 2004

    Event Description: The Fresno Cycling Club invites all riders to take the challenge at this year¹s 28th Annual Climb To Kaiser on Saturday, July 31, 2004. There are three different rides to choose from: The traditional Climb To Kaiser, rated as one of the 10 toughest rides in America by Bicycling Magazine; The Tollhouse Century; and the Millerton Metric Century.

    • 35-mile start (12:30 pm) Wilson Elementary in Town of Oro Valley on Glover Rd. west of La Cholla.

  • THE CYCLEFEST CENTURY
    Location: West Palm Beach, FL
    Date: October 2, 2004 - Saturday

    Event Description: The scenic cycling route goes past the mansions of Palm Beach and follows the beautiful coastal roads in its route north to Hobe Sound and back. As a special incentive this year, Trek Bicycles has offered to present a Postal Team Jersey autographed by cycling legend Lance Armstrong, to the individual TNT rider who raises the most money for the Leukemia Society to participate at CycleFest 2004!
